At Urban Research we approach development as simply one part
of addressing a problem. Nearly every situation is unique and
therefore requires a unique approach. We've developed a system
of methods that help us solve common development problems while
remaining open and mindful of new and fresh ideas. This approach
allows us to develop custom solutions that solve the diverse and
unique needs of today's business environment without completely
reinventing the wheel.
We understand the many important non-technical factors involved
in almost every project. We are very considerate of schedule
and budget, as well as life span and audience. We strive to
develop precisely what our clients need, and we feel it is
important to include system knowledge with the delivery of any
solution.
When we deliver a solution, we offer the option of training,
documenation, or transition that allows someone else to complete changes or
maintenance requests. While we are interested, willing, and
glad to continue working relationships with our clients
(and almost always do), we also
believe in providing options. We believe
that the client is the owner of the solution and should be armed
with the knowledge necessary to manage it how they see fit if
they so choose.
Our approach is to assess, analyze, design, develop, review,
test, release, maintain, document, and transition technical
solutions in a way that is consistent with the culture and
needs of our client(s).
